Okay. First: I haven't forgotten y'all...I'm redesigning the site. It's going to take several weeks --at least-- because I'm changing it page by page, but it's coming along nicely and should be done in a few weeks. Secondly, I hope you'll all be happy to hear that I have accepted another position within the company...one that should free up a bit more of my time...allowing me to devote more to you, my ever faithful (and so very, very patient) readers. Looks like it will be about a month before the transition happens, so please hang in there with me.

Now, much to the dismay, I'm sure, of the Idol Haters of America, I am weighing in on tonight's show. I'm too tired to go into detail, so here are my notes:
Oh. My. GOD. I LOOOOOVED Chris' rendition of Walk the Line. That was INCREDIBLE. I lurrrrved him before, but after his performance (and arrangement) tonight? SWOOON!
pickler - that was great. She sang Patsy (who is notoriously difficult to 'sing') effortlessly, but Pickler can NOT sing and walk at the same time. she lost it for a few minutes there where she went down into the audience. But once she got back to the stage? Terrific. She has the country twang, the great voice, an old-school feel, yet with tinges of the current 'in' sound of today. Not bad!
Ohhhh and how I loooove this music. 40s an 50s music just makes my heart sing. And I couldn't have been happier to hear so many people paying homage to my beloved Dinah Washington...one of the greatest singers of all time next to Patsy.
Kat was wonderful. Her performance of Come Rain or Come Shine was awesome. She made it current while still keeping true to the song and it's sultry sexiness. Also, George loved it (possibly more than me) and mentioned that he felt funny in his pants after that performance.
HATE Taylor Hicks. So trite. And predictable. With that stupid, dorky gimmick that has worn so very thin. Aaaand this is further evidenced by Paula's "Wwwwooooo!!!" screams and standing ovations. sheep. don't agree? next time he performs...close your eyes and listen. Don't watch him...LISTEN. He is average, plain and simple. He does the gimmick because he knows this too. There are 10,000 other average, decent singers who do commercial voiceovers every day. He isn't special. Retarded maybe. But not stand-out special.
Ace: HATE him too. He is so fake and he apparently studied at the Constantine School of Serial Killer Smoldering Looks. He tries SO hard to be sexy and fails MISERABLY. It's a shame, too, because at the beginning of the season, I thought I would love him. Yet...I don't.
That little girl who helped Ryan announce throughout the show? SOOO adorable. And not shy at all. Precious.
oh GOD paula...can you get through just ONE review without mentioning how someone looks?!?! Shallow, attention-desperate idiot.
Ohhhh, shocking. Randy hasn't lost the Air-Sucked-Through-Teeth-Predecessor-To-Bad-News move yet.
Also Hate: Paris. GOD she's fake.
I liked Kevin's song...perfect for him. Also, he is REALLY growing...obviously soaking up and taking to heart all the advice being thrown his way. Good for him.
Okay. That's all for me tonight. It's 11:30 p.m., I still have house stuffs to do and I have to be up at 5:30. Gah!!!
'Nite peeps!
